If you are a survivor of intimate partner abuse, control or coercion, whether you are married or not, whether you are living with the abusive partner or not, we understand the complicated and extremely difficult issues you deal with in both your life and your children’s lives.

Anne has advocated for more than 25 years for families impacted by domestic violence and child abuse, and has developed a cross-disciplinary, trauma-informed approach to helping survivors and their families. In addition to the critical issues regarding your and your children’s safety, abuse and control often impact your financial autonomy and security. Anne considers safety and stability at each step of the way in her representation and will collaborate with you in an effort to support your sense of agency and empowerment. Your safety, dignity, privacy and financial stability are lawyer Anne’s priorities in working on behalf of survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse.

Too often, abusive partners and co-parents use the legal system to continue to control and abuse you and your children. Anne will work closely with you to obtain agreements or orders regarding a safe parenting plan, child support, asset division and/or alimony while considering your safety and privacy throughout the representation.

A History Of Working For Families

Attorney Law Office of Anne Gillespie has worked in family advocacy for those facing issues with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS). Clients often come to her with pressing concerns and questions, including:
